She was old now.She had been successful in her life.
Her husband a millionaire ,sons ,daughter all well placed.
There was nothing left to acheive ..life was good.
One autumn..morning she gota a call from her daughter..invitng..
her to bangalore..the city she had once stayed in..during her stint with Igate global solutions.
She made it to b'lore..alright....bewildering at the changes that now..overtook..the quaint, sleepy envelope which engulfed the city back then.
Mornings in bangalore usually consisted of seeing her daughter off to work....and insrtucting the maid to do the chores properly these apart the whole day she had to herself.Sipping a hot coffee..and brooding over the newspaper.. one morning..suddenly a wave of nostalgia hit her. Her memory flashed back to 2009 when she used to stay in Indiranagar.Suddenly she had a inner craving to the see the area in and arround the place she dwelt back then. Calling the chauffeur to bring the car out she got rady for this intriguing sojourn which had a destinition but no real purpose behind it but still she directed the driver to drive her to Thippasandra...
Entering the area she was pleasently surprised the Hanuman temple stood where it was...the small utility shops were still there..and people still roamed freely
while a group of autowallah chitchatted...cracking jokes and pullin each others leg.
The tata indicom showroom though had been replaced by a cash and carry mart...Spencers must have suffered she thought...round the left bend though...buildings had crept up.....but overall things hadn't changed much.
Getting down from the car on reaching the dead end she ambled up to tthe building which she once lived...it was still the same..altough....the colour had faded and she wished the staircases were wiider but to her dismay..she found it even narrower till she realized she had gained weight.
Not knowing what to expect she knocked at the door, only to be answered by a woman..whom she recognized as Sultana's daughter who had grown up to be a very dignified lady.
'Hello' she said 'u may not recognize me but I used to be tenant here ..I had come here so I thought why not visit this place'
'Oh !!!' she exclaimed do come in..the number of visitors are so rare at this point in time that I was quite alarmed.'
'I hope I am not disturbing u?' .
'Not at all ' the young lady retorted.
'By the way' she continued 'What did u say ur name was?'
'Sanjana' our lady replied...which brought an expression of disbelief to the young ladies face..'YOU ARE SANJANA !!!!!!!!!???????'
'yes' our lady replies not slightly amused.
'Well ' said the young lady 'In that case I have got sumthing for u'
She takes outa sheaf of papers and hands them to our lady..'an old man' ...religiously comes everyday of the year and drop thhese in our letter box and all of these are addressed to u'
Stunned our lady opens takes the letters and due to the natural discomfort leaves the place.
Alone in the car he opens the first one...heres is what it said
